Swimming is allowed at the park’s five lakes Center Lake, Legion Lake, Stockade Lake, Sylvan Lake and the Game Lodge Pond. Please keep in mind that there are no lifeguards on duty at any of the park’s lakes. Boating is permitted in the four lakes; however, restrictions apply.
Please refer to the park magazine or ask at the visitor centers for these restrictions. Fishing is allowed anywhere in Custer State Park. A valid South Dakota fishing license is required.
